Sugarhouse Road, between Burke and Lake Willoughby, is aptly named. All over Northern New England are signs that the maple syrup industry, unlike the small dairy farms, is thriving. Whether its blue tubing strung between maples in a sugarbush or buildings like this one where the sap is boiled down, I'm always glad to see people are still, after 200 years, continuing this tradition.
