The original revenant, the American bison literally came back from the dead. Once believed extinct due to overhunting, a small population was discovered in present-day Yellowstone National Park. All bison today can trace their ancestry directly back to this herd.
Using his massive head to clear snow from winter grass, this lone bull's face is encrusted in ice on a bitterly cold January day. This print is offered in two sizes here, as well as a very large size in my museum collection.
