On the 24th of June, ice still coats Pine Creek Lake, high in Montana's Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness. Like many alpine lakes in the Rocky Mountains, this one spends most of its life beneath a blanket of winter. The landscape here will begin changing fast now, wildflowers bursting through melting drifts, ice receding to reveal clear water more than 150 feet deep, but on this day winter still commands the upper hand. This beautiful, black and white print is offered in two sizes, 12x18 and 20x30.
