A lone willow sits in the Madison Valley below Sphinx Mountain. The sky has a beautiful touch of wintery blue in the flowing clouds, a striking contrast to the white snow above timberline on the Sphinx.

Winter in the Madison is a quiet time of year as the windswept lands harbor great elk herds that have migrated many miles to take advantage of exposed grass. I've heard wolves here several times before daylight, and more than once seen great horned owls hunting from the tops of telephone poles near Ennis at dusk.

This is a limited edition print offered in a variety of sizes on fine, archival paper as well as ready-to-hang aluminum. Each is signed and numbered and ships free to the lower 48.
