Now Comes The Night - Limited Edition

The March full moon rises over the Bridger Mountains just north of Bozeman, Montana. The prominent mountain to the left of the moon is Ross Peak, captured with Nikon's 500mm telephoto from over 10 miles away just as the moon breaks the horizon.

This moonrise occurred on one of the first truly warm days of the year, and while I took the 14 photos necessary for this large panorama, I heard sandhill cranes, redwing blackbirds, and a multitude of Canada geese. There was a hint of soil on the wind, freed from winter, and a sense that we were rounding the corner into spring.

Shot intentionally in black and white, this photograph has a lovely mix of sharp contrast and subtle, night-time feel. It's offered in two sizes, 10x30 and 15x45, as a print and also as finished, framed art. The frame is authentic, smooth-finished Montana barn wood with a clean, 2" linen mat. The finest, anti-UV acrylic covers the photo, and each piece is signed and numbered, limited to a run of 25.

Free delivery is included for framed art within 150 miles of Bozeman, and shipping is included in the price for photographic prints. Shipping of framed art beyond 150 miles will be extra and calculated depending on address.
