My photographs all tell a story, but my best ones tell something about my soul and how I view the natural world. In the truest sense of the word, our environment away from the hurry of modern life, is a wondrous thing to behold. It was 27 degrees below zero when I captured this image, standing perfectly still in snow deeper than my waist near the Wyoming/Montana border along upper Soda Butte Creek. I waited for this bull bison to wade upstream, climb out onto the bank, begin feeding, and then acknowledge my presence with a haunting stare. I believe it does justice to the spirit of this magnificent animal and to my love affair with wild country.

Printed by Bow Haus in Los Angeles, the same company that does David Yarrow’s art, with their pigment-based archival ink, this is bonded to an aluminum composite backing, set in a solid maple frame, and varnished for sheen and durability. Put simply, I believe this to be one of the very finest black and white photographs ever taken in Yellowstone National Park.

This photograph is an extremely-limited edition of 5 measuring and is designed to be a stunning statement piece for the serious art collector and lover of nature. Contact me for pricing and delivery options.
