The Milky Way rises into the fall night sky above a weathered barn in Montana with the moon visible in the edge of the frame. In late October, the core of our galaxy has almost set under the horizon for the winter and shooting the Milky Way becomes more difficult. For this picture, I used gentle light painting on the barn and tracked the stars with an equatorial mount. It's a complex process that produces good detail in dark skies and requires extensive editing. Shipping for framed prints is extra.
