Last Light At Lone Peak - Custom Edition

This is a 2:1 panorama shot during the final moments of a December day when the sun sets far to the south of Montana's Lone Peak. Standing a couple of miles up in the Porcupine Creek Drainage of the Gallatin, I photographed this iconic ski mountain as snow squalls cleared during dusk. I used Nikon's 300mm f4 telephoto, taking multiple images at slow shutter speeds to stack into this scene of clouds and sun. The color is completely natural and is the result of cloud-filtered sun very low on the horizon.

This image is available by custom order at sizes up to five feet long. Please email for pricing and sizes.

The mock-up, shown for scale, shows this piece at 30x60 on metal.
