A river of fog and clouds hugs the Gallatin Valley of Montana, blanketing more than 20 miles of landscape across Bozeman. During this January inversion, I was able to climb above the clouds and shoot a scene full of amazing light and shadow, one split equally by land and clouds. In the foreground, an abandoned farm building clings to a landscape of snow and stubble field, while in the background the Spanish Peaks jut skyward.
