On the final day of August, 2019, wildflowers still bloom at the edge of a small beaver pond in Bear Basin. In the heart of Montana's Spanish Peaks Mountains, summer is clinging to the land by a thread, only one cold front away from being banished for 9 months. Less than two weeks after I captured this sunset image, more than three feet of snow fell during an early-fall storm, completely erasing all signs of the shortest seasons here.
This is printed on fine aluminum and measures 40x60 inches. It has perfect color, contrast, and a peaceful sense that days and seasons are slipping by. Each print comes signed and numbered and the edition size is limited to 5.
