Winner of the 2020 National Wildlife Federation's photo contest for the best landscape in America, only two prints of this amazing photograph remain available for purchase at this size.
This scene, captured through 26 images all taken from the same place in the early morning hours of mid-March near Emigrant, Montana, shows our beautiful Milky Way arcing over the Yellowstone River. A stream of fog traces the flow of the water between the dark cottonwoods along the far bank and the towering, Absaroka Beartooth Mountain Range.
This is one of my most popular photographs and has been published across the globe. It's printed on the world's finest aluminum for a glass-like finish and sleek, frameless style. At six feet long by three feet high, it puts you right in the scene, standing there with me on the cold, Yellowstone River. Numbers 9 and 10 of a 10-image run remain available for purchase.
