Late March brings unsettled weather to the mountains of Montana and on any given day it may snow, rain, and be sunny all within less than an hour. I love the battle in the sky as our earth shifts seasons, time hanging between winter and something that is not quite spring.
I shot this medium format panorama on Lone Peak in black and white because I loved the contrast between streaming clouds, dark sky, and blowing snow from the slopes. It has tack-sharp resolution, with details best viewed at large scale. It's offered on three mediums and several sizes, all of which come signed and numbered and ship free to the lower 48 states.
