It doesn't look much like the third of July in the Madison Mountains of Montana, but cracks are forming in the alpine winter and Upper Cradle Lake will soon be free of ice for a few short weeks.
I shot this scene as a storm rolled in and late afternoon light fought against the dark clouds. Like most of my work, this is a limited edition offered on fine, archival-quality photo paper and also ready-to-hang aluminum. Each piece is signed and numbered and ships free to all lower 48 states.
