This is a focus stack image shot at 120mm in medium format, meaning that everything from the close flowers to the distant mountains and sky are in sharp focus. I was standing in the Gravelly Mountains, not far from Black Butte, looking across a foreground of wildflowers to the Sphinx Mountain in the Madison Range. Wonderful sunbeams, accentuated by a touch of Canadian wildfire smoke, shined down all around.
