A bull bison grazing close to the edge of Soda Butte Creek in Yellowstone National Park overestimated the strength of the snow, falling through to the water below. Unhurt and relatively unconcerned, he waded upstream half a mile before finding an easy place to climb out and begin searching for grass in the sub-zero morning.
