One Bad Hair Day

A huge bull bison thinks about climbing out of Soda Butte Creek in Yellowstone National Park on a morning when the temperature fell to nine below zero. With snow up well over his belly, he decided to look for an easier place to exit the frigid water, eventually wading upstream more than half a mile.

I shot this black and white photo with Fuji's incredible GFX 100s camera, making use of all its 102 megapixels. Each hair is defined and the scene transitions with butter smoothness. This is a large, 48x96 panorama available on ready-to-hang aluminum, canvas set in a black float frame, and an archival-quality photo paper print. Edition size is 11 and each piece comes signed and numbered and ships free to all lower 48 states.
